ABOUT PROJECT-NERD

A PEEK BEHIND THE CURTAIN

WHO WE ARE

Project-Nerd is a geek-centric creator collective and production company bent on world domination. Achieving that through the creation and distribution of original series (both TV and web), short- and long-form video content, in-house podcasts, and on-site event support/management services. Project-Nerd is also the braintrust behind Project-Nerd TV, an OTT (Over The Top) Video Platform offering Video On-Demand and streaming geek productions.

For those with less time, our elevator pitch is simply – Project-Nerd is an inclusive geek-led production company hell-bent on sharing original and unique content that we can all nerd out about together.

Either way you pitch it, Project-Nerd is awesome.

THE REST OF IT

In early 2012, Project-Nerd founder Iggy Michniacki moved his efforts beyond managing review sites to following his passion and launching Project-Nerd. Within a few months, Project-Nerd surpassed all expectations and became an established name online and now, just a few years later, Project-Nerd houses and produces dozens of other initiatives and projects from across the world.

Originating as a geek news and culture blog, Project-Nerd has evolved into an all-around juggernaut; a passionate collective of nerds who desire to create great things together, and 2022 promises to be our most exciting year yet!

Project-Nerd features original video content (TV and web), an entire podcast network, celebrity interviews, on-site event support/management, an apparel line, and a publishing brand.

Take a load off and stay awhile… connect with other people who love to nerd out about amazing things and maybe even create some amazing things yourself. Who knows what can happen when we all Nerd Out Together.

STILL TO COME

Project-Nerd turned 10 years old in 2022, an achievement we are proud of considering the many obstacles life has thrown our way and the constant evolution of the internet. But as much as a milestone as this is, it’s not even our final form.

Decade Two will be bolder, bigger, and better than the first ten years. The future includes more original and ongoing content, an exciting film festival, additional partnerships with comic conventions and film festivals than ever before, and the expansion of both PN-Skate and Project-Nerd Publishing.

2022 is just the start of a fully evolved Project-Nerd.

THE TEAM

Project-Nerd is made up of an assortment of nerds that contribute full-time and part-time. When Iggy started the project his idea was to reach out to a vast audience; that required bringing in individuals who know what being a nerd is all about. The crew is made up of movie experts, hardcore video gamers, car enthusiasts, sports fans, meme junkies, collectors, and much much more.

We are very proud of our staff and contributors. From the people that meet weekly to help ensure the brand’s growth down to the folks that throw in a blog post or review when their busy schedules allow it; each and every person here makes Project-Nerd a success.

IGGY MICHNIACKI

Iggy founded Project-Nerd in 2012 with the goal of blogging and reviewing online. Besides being the brand CEO, Iggy is a comic book writer, podcast personality, web series creator, documentary filmmaker, producer, and a convention moderator. He is a father of two children and an avid film fan.
