Radults Podcast (E12): Goldie Bartlett
VIDEO GAMES! Now that we’ve got your attention, we’d like to introduce Episode 12’s guest, Goldie Bartlett!
Now let’s drop a bit of a knowledge bomb on you about our fabulous guest!
Goldie Bartlett is an illustrator and art director who has found herself working in the indie video games scene in Melbourne. She has worked on titles such as Apple Design Award winning mobile game ‘Florence’, which was also recently curated as one of TIME Magazine’s top ten games of 2018. Goldie is currently creative directing and writing a game called ‘Wayward Strand’, which is set in rural Victoria in 1978, as well as art directing Freeplay, the oldest Independent Games Festival in the world, happening in Melbourne in May.
Marigold was a recipient of Film Victoria’s 2017 Women in Games Fellowship, and enjoys teaching at RMIT from time to time. Her love for comics, punk and illustration have all been an exciting addition to the world of game development. For the record, she doesn’t like Mountain Dew and Doritos or gamer culture.
Episode topics include: art, video games, Daniel Clowes, teaching and learning, and finding the way through life.

Spawned from the minds of Brenton Harris and Mike Speakman, the RADULTS podcast will highlight people who have said “fuck that” to the idea that growing up and becoming an adult meant giving up on their dreams. Guests will include musicians, authors, comic creators, tattooists, artists, screenwriters just to name a few. These guests maintain the passion of their youth, while surviving as an adult (some even have kids and houses, even a mortgage!).
They are RADULTS.
