7 Years, 7 Posts: Our Most Popular Content
Today is it. It’s lucky number seven for Project-Nerd.
March 20, 2012 we set out to blog, and blog we did. For seven years, Project-Nerd has provided quality reviews, fun content, up-to-speed pop-culture news, and original content galore.
Along the way, the readers have liked some posts more than others. That’s okay, we’re not judging. But we are sharing…
Below are the 7 Years, 7 Posts highlighting the most visited post each year for the first seven years of Project-Nerd.
YEAR ONE – 2012
TMNT Pullover Hoodies: Not only did this spend the first two years as the most viewed post on Project-Nerd, it sits as one of the most viewed posts in the history of the blog. And not to mention, the link to Amazon has been used more than any other affiliate link on the website. You all love your Ninja Turtle pullovers.
YEAR TWO – 2013
Geeky Women Halloween Costumes: At Project-Nerd, we’re firm believers in costuming is whatever you want it to be. So around Halloween we typically have shared quick and affordable geeky costumes that you can get on Amazon. The women’s post typically draws much more traffic than the men’s post each year.
YEAR THREE – 2014
Exclusive Ursula Cosplay Gallery: Project-Nerd has done a number of exclusive galleries with great cosplayers and photographers over the years. One of the most popular, still, is Ezmeralda Von Katz as Ursula being captured by The Portrait Dude.
YEAR FOUR – 2015
Lisa Frank ‘Game of Thrones’ Sigils: Artist Arterialmotive hit Tumblr stardom when they created a gallery of images reimagining the Game of Thrones sigils in the lovable Lisa Frank style.
YEAR FIVE – 2016
Jawdropping Valkyrie Eeveelution Cosplay: An entire group of cosplayers, including Becka Noel, Andy Rae, Jessica Nigri, Joanna Mari, Danielle Beaulieu, Hooked on Phoenix, Lyz Brickley, Caroline Dawe, and Gladzy Kei, put together a group costume for Katsucon one year and the results are still being talked about.
YEAR SIX – 2017
Adorable 8″ Baby Groot Plush: Who doesn’t love Guardian of the Galaxy‘s Groot? More so, his reborn baby version? A couple years back we highlighted this adorable plush that’s great for keeping any Rocket Raccoon merchandise company.
YEAR SEVEN – 2018
Cosplay Foam & Worbla Tutorial: Project-Nerd’s own Termina Cosplay has lived on in the blog’s hall of fame with her cosplay tutorial around foam and worbla still attracting some of the most attention the site sees on a day-to-day basis.
We hope you enjoy Year 8 at Project-Nerd.
