First Look: Coloured Contacts’ Contact Lenses
There are a number of contact lens places out there for those looking to get that full look, whether it be for cosplay or just for fun. But how does one determine which brand to pick? How do you know they’re great quality? And, most importantly, how do you know they are safe?
Thankfully, the team at Coloured Contacts took the time to share some contacts and information with Project-Nerd’s own Mia St. Clair. Mia was given three sets of contacts, some accessories, and plenty of communication about the brand and quality.
Contacts: Silver Mirror
The first pair of contacts Mia tried on are the reflective style Silver Mirror lenses. These offer a whiteout style look but with a silver reflection. In the video below you can see them in action. Note, due to the style these have a shorter life-span then some of the others available.
Contacts: Violet Rose Tri-Tone
The second pair, which ended up being Mia’s favorites, are the Violet Rose Tri-Tone lenses. These contacts have an absolutely stunning look but some how also almost look natural. Like the other two pairs, the lenses were incredibly comfortable and went on with relative ease.
Contacts: Blue Galaxy
The Blue Galaxy lenses were saved for last as Mia was looking forward to these the most. The look is as if there is a galaxy in each eye, and the images on the website match the final results. These lenses are stunning, and although may not be a perfect match for most cosplays, they are beautiful enough for everyday use.
It’s easy to see that the quality is great, but a big concern with contacts for costumes and play are if they are safe. Coloured Contacts has developed a strong reputation for safety and transparency. They have an entire section of the website dedicated to care and safety. This section includes tutorial videos, how-to lists, and so much more for ensuring that your high quality contacts remain that way through each use.
With all that great information, the ease of which the contacts went on, and how amazing they look, it’s easy to see why Mia immediately fell in love with everything about Coloured Contacts.
