2019 Golden Globe Winners (& Nominees)

The 2019 Golden Globes are wrapped and there were definitely some surprises.

Movies

There were plenty of surprises in the movie categories this year, with both Best Picture winners being a surprise, and the Best Animated Film having a geektastic finish.

There’s little reason to believe the wins for Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book in each of their Best Picture categories paves the way to Oscar gold, but it gets them plenty of recognition here while both are still collecting box office dollars.

Marvel wasn’t able to pull the surprise win for a Drama with Black Panther, however it took home a Globe via Sony’s win for Best Animated Feature with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

No surprise at all with Roma getting Alfonso Cuaron another Best Director award, something he’ll possibly replicate at the Oscars, but Roma was held to just a Best Foreign Language Film nomination (and win).
