Sony Announces Playstation Classic
After the success of the Nintendo Classic and The Super Nintendo Classic, Sony is getting in on the nostalgia fun with today’s announcement of the Sony Playstation Classic.
The Playstation Classic is a revamped version of the original Playstation system that is 45% smaller than the original unit, comes preloaded with 20 games, and includes two controllers. It is designed to hookup to today’s high definition televisions and only costs $100.
Playstation has not announced all 20 games at this time, but the five titles it did announce are Final Fantasy 7, Jumping Flash, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms, which are all very exciting titles.
Sony plans to launch the PlayStation Classic worldwide on December 3rd, which is the 24th anniversary of the PlayStation’s initial release in Japan.
Pre-orders are already up at GameStop and Best Buy for just $99.99.
