Daisy Ridley & J.J. Abrams Team-Up Outside of Star Wars Universe

If you don’t think J.J. Abrams and Daisy Ridley did great together in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you might not be right in the head. If you did think they did great together, then you’re in for some exciting news.

The Wrap is reporting that the two plan to reteam on Kolma, a new sci-fi movie from Paramount.

Based on Keren Margalit’s 2003 Israeli movie of the week titled All I’ve Got, Kolma follows a young couple who get in a car accident that leaves the man dead. 50 years later, the old woman is about to cross over and make the choice whether to reunite with her long-lost love in the hereafter or return to the fateful day her life changed forever. It’s also described as a cross between a loftier, more mystical version of The Notebook and Albert Brooks‘ 1991 fantasy romance Defending Your Life. Interesting to say the least.

Although Abrams isn’t set to direct, that appears to most likely be Marielle Heller, he is set to produce.

With Ridley’s success on Star Wars she has become a popular name in Hollywood. Not only does she have two Star Wars films left in the new trilogy, she’s also been linked to the Tomb Raider remake on top of this interesting science-fiction film. Either way, we’ll just have to wait until rumors become facts before we truly know where Ridley goes next.
