If you’ve read all the posts about what to get your nerdy friends and loved ones and still haven’t managed to pick the perfect present…here’s another list for you, with some last-minute ideas! Amazon has one- and two-day shipping, so ordering today or tomorrow will still get you stuff by Christmas (and of course there’s Amazon Prime, we all know about that). TeePublic prints shirts at time of purchase; ordering today would only arrive in time this year if you celebrate Kwanzaa, so keep your holiday in mind. Now, the list!
Any movie from Amazon
Amazon has a gazillion movies and TV shows, so you can pretty much find whatever you need for the nerd in your life. Personal favorites include: Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, or for those looking to spend the dough, the X-Files Collector’s Set.
Your favorite fandom tee from TeePublic
I don’t even know where to start with how incredible some of these are. My absolute favorite is the Multipass tee, by Fanisetas (two fandoms in one!). There are also amazing Galaxy Quest and Monty Python tees, and even a Han Burgundy option, which is exactly what it sounds like. Buy a few, rock all the fandoms.
Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers (by Grant Naylor)
Anyone who knows me knows my fandom allegiance lies first, foremost, and forever with Red Dwarf. Smeghead ‘til I die, buy me the book.
Ron Swanson Bobble-Head
It’s Ron f*cking Swanson. In Bobblehead form. Get me one now.
Harry Potter: Magical Places and Characters Coloring Book
This is a pre-order item, so you won’t get it for any holidays this season, but absolutely anyone would be excited to open a card saying this is on the way to their home in the coming months. There are three different options, if you want to gift the set!
Citadel of Minas Tirith 3D Puzzle
This is for the big spenders; it’ll run you a few hundred dollars. But you can build your own Minas Tirith citadel! Probably best displayed in the middle of your dining room table for full effect.
Jetson’s Action Figures
If you need any fun, last-minute stocking stuffers: these. These all day. I still hope we have a world like the Jetsons’ someday, and that I’ll get to live there.
The Geography Coloring Book (by Wynn Kapit)
Coloring books are the thing this year, and I totally bought into the fad. Coupled with my irrational love for geography, this book is just too perfect.
Maphead (by Ken Jennings)
King of the Nerds, Ken Jennings (you know him as the guy who killed it on Jeopardy for six months) wrote a book about maps! Maps! In keeping with my geography geekdom, let’s add some maps!
There’s plenty of other things you can grab last minute, especially with Amazon Prime’s 2-Day Shipping. What are you picking up?
