Cosplay Casual: Back to the Future II Gang Members
Since this October is the October in Back to the Future, what better way to represent the past-present than by dressing up as one of the gang kids from Back to the Future 2? You’ll obviously fit right in because all the kids are wearing these clothes now.
These casual cosplay ideas will work for both everyday clothing or for a fun geek-themed costume this Halloween!
Chester “Whitey” Nogura
Chester has on black hammer-style pants (which are, in fact, in fashion now- just not for men) with Chinese characters on them. I couldn’t find any with Chinese characters, but these leaf-print pants have a similar vibe.
Chester’s shirt has a western vibe to it if you pop the collar up. He also has some strange gray flaps up the arms, which you could probably re-create by using paint chip squares and gluing or sewing them to the arms and chest of the western shirt.
Chester is wearing surprisingly conservative skate shoes, considering the rest of his outfit.
The Accessories (Helmet | Gloves)
Chester is wearing both black gloves, which I assume are for protection in case he falls off the hover board, and a really weird hat. This cycling helmet is the closest hat I could find, but it is quite a bit cooler than Chester’s original hat.
Rafe “Data” Unger
Rafe is wearing camo pants, as all good gang members do.
Rafe also looks to be wearing a dark camo shirt, similar to this one.
Rafe loves the military, because he is also wearing military-style combat boots.
Leslie “Spike” O’Malley
Leslie loves leopard print, so she must be tough. No one told her that in 2015, it’s only soccer moms who wear leopard print anymore. I think my grandmother even has a leopard print shirt. But that’s OK Leslie, we love you anyway.
Appropriately, Leslie is wearing a skater skirt.
Leslie may be a bit behind the times by wearing black oxford shoes, but at least she isn’t trying to hoverboard in high heels.
The Accessories (Socks | Shin Guards | Necklace | Chain)
Leslie must love Pokemon, because it looks like she is wearing these Pokemon socks. They are ruining her street cred a bit. And she takes her shin safety quite seriously with those awesome shin guards. But the bullet necklace is definitely what makes her look tough, and even the chain is quite impressive.
Wear your hair in a high ponytail, and complete the look with a gray scrunchie.
