Cosplay Collection: Jason Voorhees
It’s a special Friday the 13th edition of Project-Nerd’s Cosplay Collection. What does that mean we must do? Celebrate with Jason Voorhees, of course.
Well, we won’t celebrate with him, because he’d probably kill us. But we will share great cosplay inspired by the Friday the 13th movies and merchandise.
Check out this horrifically awesome gallery of amazing Jason cosplays.
We start with a traditional look from a non-traditional team. RBL3D is more of a digital artist than a cosplayer. Irene Ubik Creations is typically more of a cosplayer. But when Irene Ubik created this costume they got behind the camera and put the horrifying RBL3D in front of it.
Another artist caught in the art of cosplaying. Must be a Jason thing. LolliAngel created this traditional and scary Jason look to probably scare the piss out of everybody. A great shot for that.
Kotobukiya has made Jason look fantastic. The anime pinup style of the character is spreading like a wildfire, but there’s a few that standout. Inushio Cosplayer looks like a replica of the statue. In fact, I had to double-take to make sure it wasn’t a photo of the statue.

Speaking of standing above the rest, there isn’t a more recognizable Jason cosplayer than Abby Dark-Star. Don’t believe me? Ask Google. The talented costumer created her Kotobukiya Jason costume as a part of a group cosplay and has had to wear it time and time again to appease the masses.
Let’s get back to the scary—the insanely scary. Imagine strolling through the woods and you stumble upon this shoot, but you don’t see the photographer at first. What would you do (besides scream and panic)? That’s all I have to say about Killring Cosplay as Jason.
Cosplayer: Killring Cosplay
This cosplayer only does Jason cosplays. His cosplay name is Voorhees. C’mon, we weren’t leaving this creepy costumer off the list. An uncredited photo from SDCC 2013 is just one of a ton of convention shots streaming down his page.
Cosplayer: Ruben Voorhees
Vall London Cosplay
The Kotobukiya design is very popular these days, and we know exactly why. But no matter your thoughts on it, Vall London Cosplay is another talented individual who has perfectly recreated the statue. Don’t let that innocent look in her eyes fool you, she’s ready to kill.

I love this shot, even though the focus is less on Jason and more on his victim. Callie Cosplay posed for a series of horror-related images for Halloween a couple years back, and this was the Friday the 13th image she came up with. Teaming with David Love Photography as well as her husband in the background, the team created a truly horrifying image.
Scary movies the day before Valentine’s Day? Maybe every February should have a Friday the 13th.
