The all new Lego DC comics movie, Gotham City Breakout, is about the troubles the Justice League face when Batman goes away on vacation. Batman (Troy Baker) is finally convinced by the rest of the Justice League to go on vacation. After Batman leaves, the Joker, having just got out of prison, tricks Superman into breaking all the bad guys out of Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Nightwing and Batgirl bring Batman to see his old mentors. First stop, Madame Mantis.

After Batman gets to Madame Mantis he discovers that something is wrong, Madame Mantis isn’t Madame Mantis! It is a Trogowog in disguise. Batman soon discovers a whole civilization of them underneath the ground. However they are corrupted by a plan put together by Deathstroke and Bane.

Back in Gotham the League is having troubles of their own. All the escaped villains are terrorizing Gotham and they can’t stop them, and the only person qualified to help them is Robin. But Superman had put him to bed early. Back in the land of Trogowogs Batman, Nightwing, and Batgirl find the real Madame Mantis and the prince of Trogowogs. Together they break out of the prison and try to stop Deathstroke and Bane’s plans to learn the secret of the forbidden move.

All the villains in Gotham are making big plans that could bring Gotham under their control forever, along with the rest of the world, so the League decides to go after them and walk right into the villains’ trap. Who will save them now? Robin to the rescue! After he single-handedly saves them he teaches them a few tricks on apprehending the villains. After they clean up Gotham they get ready for Batman to come back.

Unknown to them, Batman is barely staying alive. The group had come up with a plan, but the plan required Batman giving up the forbidden move up to the army of Trogowogs. With newly allied Deathstroke to help them they continue their plan. Madame Mantis and Prince Grungle isolate Bane and use a powerful energy called the Psyche Stone to broadcast Prince Grungle’s bravery against Bane and his defeat.

Once the battle is over the forbidden move is erased from the minds of the Trogowogs and Batman, Batgirl, and Nightwing say their goodbyes and depart for Gotham.

As a conclusion this movie is very enjoyable movie for kids, I’m not saying that adults will like it too, but it is a good excuse to spend time with family.
