Howard Overman, who created the popular cult BBC Series Misfits, has created a new series called Crazy Faces.
Polygon reports that Netlifx and BBC Channel 4 (E4) will be co-producing this comedy horror as a six part series set to air on E4 before being released on Netflix globally.
Starring, Cara Theobold (Downton Abbey), and Susan Wokoma (E4’s Chewing Gum); this series follows the hijinks of a spirit sensing bowling alley worker named Abby (Theobold), and a self-taught demon hunter named Raquel (Wokoma), as they start a demon hunting business and travel the country performing exorcisms. Polygon describes it as “Ghostbusters meets Shaun of the Dead.”
Other stars set to appear in Crazy Faces include Riann Steele (In the Flesh), Lewis Reeves (Unforgotten), Arinze Kene (Youngers), and Tony Curran (Defiance, Sons of Anarchy).
An official air date has not yet been announced; however, production on the series will begin in Bristol this week.
