Teen Super Heroes – truly what girls have been looking for!
DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. initially announced the Super Hero Girls team-up April 2015, prepping us for the exciting partnerships to come. Now it’s live. On 1 October 2015, DC Super Hero Girls officially launched!
DC Super Hero Girls is a teenage version of our favorite female superheroes created by a DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Mattel partnership, which includes book and further toy production agreements with Random House Children’s Books and LEGO.
An incredible Teen Superhero Universe can be found at www.dcsuperherogirls.com, complete with high school life, great role models, heroes and folks that girls can relate to. The bonus is they’re wearing fantastic costumes and doing some amazing adventuring! These female heroes are geared up for connecting with girls through digital options, books, 6″ and 12″ action figure toys, graphic novels, and the best part coming later, clothes!! DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson said DC Super Hero Girls “represents the embodiment of our long-term strategy to harness the power of our diverse female characters,” and she is personally pleased to offer “relatable and strong role models in a unique way, just for girls.”
The line-up will be presented during this years New York Comic Con. Pretty exciting and a great alternative to Barbie figures if that’s not your thing. (Barbie, we still luv you, tho)
Comic convention attendees, get ready to see the whole Super Hero High Universe out in full force soon! My favorites costume characters are teen Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Katana and Poison Ivy. Fluid costumes with mobility, comfort and key fleek!
