This winter has been Studio Ghibli filled. Maybe it’s Miyazaki’s retirement announcement, maybe the sleeper hit release, or maybe Disney pushing out some more titles on Blu-ray. No matter what, we’ve been marathoning, brainstorming, and talking about the amazing animation from the top notch studio.
One of those animated features is titled Princess Mononoke. A story about a Princess (San) working to save her world from the encroachment of mechanization.
It’s obvious where this is going…our latest Cosplay Collection features the Princess San from the fantastic movie. Check out these nine fantastic warriors below.
Meisha Mock
Meisha Mock’s interpretation of San is spot on. The craftsmanship in her costume and the partnership with some great photographers have made her Mononoke costume well known.

The Kros Nest
San, is that you? The warrior princess jumps off the animated screen and in front of the camera with this amazing cosplay from The Kros Nest. The craftsmanship on this costume is nothing short of amazing.

Deathly-Sora
I love the use of the fur, the location, and the attitude in this great shot of Deathly-Sora. Teaming up with Shi-Chama (behind the camera), the pair captured an outstanding gallery, paying homage to Princess Mononoke.

MikiyoOo
Another fantastic creation here. MikiyoOo created a sensational costume and partnered with photographer Franky Chan for an epic outdoor shot that screams Princess Mononoke.

Meagan Marie
Is there a costume Meagan Marie can’t master? Here she is in another amazing creation, this time being shot by the talented LJinto. Meagan Marie crafted this costume a few years ago, and did so wonderfully.

Lovelyy Orange
A simple but amazing shot here. Lovelyy Orange has the innocent warrior look going for her in this image shot by Falling Feathers. Another excellent job with the costume, something this gallery is filled with.

Karen Kasumi
OK, we all know there’s an adorable puppy in this picture…but the cosplayer behind the fur ball is who we’re spotlighting. Karen Kasumi did a great job with the San costume, and the addition of her dog is a bonus.

Envel’s Cosplay
We mentioned earlier that innocent warrior look San is so well known for, and Envel’s Cosplay might capture that best in this dazzling photo by BGZ Studios. Another great costume build, catapulted to greatness by some brilliant poses and emotion.

Musical Dream
Dark and mysterious. A breathtaking shot by Musical Dream that is very different than the rest of our list. Captured by One Photography all the way back in 2010, this convention shot looks like a studio one due to the amazing job the two did.
